We have one room in a 4 bedroom house available starting August 1. It’s a shared three-story rowhouse with 3 other roommates who are young professionals in DC. The location is amazing, just a few blocks from the Senate staff buildings, Union Station, H Street Corridor (including a Giant and Whole Foods), one block from Union Pub, and a 10-15 minute walk from the House staff buildings.

 

Rent is $970 a month. Utilities and internet usually run about $100-150 combined. So it’s actually about $1120 including utilities, but sometimes lower or higher depending on the season. The room is a decent size. It currently fits a queen bed, a computer desk, and has a closet. 

 

The house has plenty of storage in the basement and you can chill in the common areas and the fenced-in backyard. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), and each is shared by two people.

 

The Heritage Foundation parking lot is behind the house. The House itself has parking. There’s also a zoned parking lot behind the house which you can use except M-F 8am-7pm (meaning yes, it’s pretty easy to have your parents visit for a weekend because there’s free parking). Giant is 4 blocks down 3rd. Capitol Market is across the street on Mass Ave. Heritage Foundation is across the street. Hart is like 2 blocks diagonal. Union Station is a 2 blocks away. Very accessible.
