Capital Turnaround - Event Manager

Capital Turnaround is hiring an event manager to manage its private event bookings. The Event Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of private events at Capital Turnaround. This position would be performed under the general direction of the 8th Day Productions Director.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Being the onsite venue host for site visits and rental events. Supervising the operations of events and tending to any incidents or queries.

·      Managing all bookings for rental events and responding to inquiries.

·      Ensuring that the venue and facilities are safe, clean and organized for an event. Reporting maintenance needs to facilities staff and scheduling cleaners as needed.

·      Preparing venue packages and pricing options, and negotiating with clients.

·      Hiring and supervising all hourly contract event staff, as needed.

·      Coordinating with vendors and supervising their requirements and logistics.

·      Managing the marketing and branding materials for all rental business.

·      Managing all administrative tasks such as insurance, booking schedules, and invoicing.

·      Communicating and enforcing all security regulations and protocols.

General Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Professional work experience in planning, organizing or hosting special events.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and varying work schedules, handle concurrent planning and execution of multiple events.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but great accountability.
  • Excellent problem solving and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to stand for a sustained period of time.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organization with attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, assess complications and problem-solve quickly.
  • Positive attitude and diligent work ethic.
