Room available in an adorable 4 bedroom, 2 bath single family home in Falls Church!
The available room is 8x10, has a built-in bookcase, a closet, and lots of natural light from two windows. Rent is $700/mo, and utilities range from $50-$100 a month per person (split evenly). The room will be available starting at the end of June; our current lease goes through October 2021, and we are planning to renew through October 2022.
The house has lots of living space including a screened-in porch, living room, dining room, basement, and backyard patio with deck furniture, fire pit, and hammock! It’s located on a charming street where everyone decorates their houses for all the holidays, families walk their dogs, kids ride bikes, “Donut Fairies” occasionally leave boxes of donuts on the front porch, and neighbors help each other out. This sort of neighborhood is unheard of in Northern Virginia!
The existing roommates are three Christian women in our late 20’s and early 30’s who attend McLean Presbyterian Church, love deep conversation, good music, and keeping our kitchen clean. When we’re not in the middle of a pandemic, we enjoy checking out local wineries and breweries, and are on a constant hunt for the best Chinese takeout.
We dislike drama, value direct communication, and strive to keep our home warm and inviting. To this end, we have a weekly roommate night where we go over chores, house business, and fun ideas. We’re all pretty laid back, like to keep our home neat but lived-in, and appreciate a house culture that encourages community while also allowing for alone time. When we’re not in lockdown, we all have active social lives, and enjoy having friends over for game/movie nights, cookouts, bible studies, and other various gatherings throughout the year.
