2 Rooms available CF house in Brookland - June 2021
About the house: Our house was remodeled 3 years ago and includes lovingly restored original hardwood floors, light-filled bay windows, central AC and heat, laundry, and front and back porches. We also have a big backyard with lots of garden space and a patio. We’re a 10-minute walk to Masala Story, Primrose Wine Bar, Yes! Organic Market, and Brookland's Finest. Turkey Thicket Recreation Center and Dwight Mosley park are both nearby (walking tracks, tennis courts) and sidewalks are abundant and quiet for walks and runs. On-street parking is abundant, and we're a 10-minute walk to the Brookland/CUA metro on the red line.
The two available bedrooms are on the second floor. Like the rest of the house, they have beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and large windows. They each have a small closet and share a full bathroom.
Room 1: Large front bedroom (17” x 15”, 221 sq ft) has pretty views of the street and trees and comfortably holds a queen bed, home office and workout space. Rent: $1075/month.
Room 2: Medium size bedroom (12” x 12”, 144 sq ft) that comfortably holds a queen size bed, bedside table and dresser. Rent is $905/month.
About Us
Group of 3 young professional women in our late 20s - early 30s; you would be housemates #4 and #5. We have each been residents of DC for a few years (though we haven't always lived together) and we strive to live in intentional community that seeks the flourishing of our neighborhood and values hospitality. Though we all have our own things going on, we have regular house dinners, celebrate birthdays, and generally like adventuring around DC and hanging out at home together.
COVID: Everyone has been serious about COVID protocols, but we’ve still been finding ways to socialize (porches, yard, and fire pit have been MVPs). We'll be fully vaccinated by June 1.
Logistics: The rooms are available on June 1 (dates flexible) for a 12-month lease. Rent includes 2x/month house cleaning service; utilities are paid separately and range from $80-150/month.
