Large private basement bedroom with private bathroom - $990/month

Two young professional women are seeking one person (preferably a CF) to join our home on the Hill. Rent for the bedroom is $990 a month plus utilities, which usually run about $85 a piece ($60 to $105). The room has a private bathroom. We have a dishwasher and laundry in the home. Room is available March 1st but will likely be available as early as mid-February (prorated; lease beginning March 1st).

A bit about the room from the current roommate: “This large basement room and private bathroom come with a lot of space and privacy. The room is the full downstairs area so it is quite large and a bit tucked away. It comes with 2 closet spaces and plenty of space for additional storage or furniture. As you can see from the pictures, there is even enough room for a small living room-like area and an additional closet organizer. You could easily create a larger work-from-home space than I currently have. The laundry is conveniently located in the basement and roommates are very considerate and work around your schedule/preferences for coming down. Overall, you are getting an amazing deal for the space and location. You also get two wonderful, friendly roommates who are very clean and considerate.”

We are located near multiple bus lines (90, 92, X2, D6, D4). The location is phenomenal - a couple blocks off of H St, 15 mins walks to Union Station and 20 mins to Eastern Market (two buses that take you directly to Eastern Market). Grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops are all near - including a corner store directly across the street.

The two current roommates are both twenty-something Christian women working in non-profit spaces with commitments to social justice. Both are friendly introverts following CDC guidelines regarding COVID. We keep shared spaces clean. We try to be considerate of each other and foster communication and fair distribution of household chores and expenses.
