About the House:

The house is a cute Capitol Hill House located off of East Capitol with about a 12-minute walk to the House or Senate office buildings. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a dining room that has morphed into a workout room since COVID. The house is fully furnished so you only need your bedroom furniture. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms - yours and two of your housemate's rooms. The three of you share a kitchen, washer/dryer, and bathroom. The shared bathroom has not been a problem because everyone is on different schedules for the most part.

The downstairs has the last roommates' room, the dining room, and the living room - which is spacious and has been the home of many movie nights and life chats. The first floor/downstairs also has the other bathroom and another smaller kitchen. The dining room/workout room is a great space to clear your head and or get a "living room workout" in- In here we house our weights, yoga mats, and one of the housemates' Peloton and other bike, so if you have the shoes (or want to buy a pair) you're more than welcome to ride! There is some space underneath the stairwell for suitcases and a few tubs. Utilities for the house are split using the app Splitwise.

The Roommates:

Your potential new roommates are in their mid to late twenties and work or have worked on the Hill, in higher-ed Tech, and an investment management firm. If you enjoy Target, Ikea, thrifting, baseball (and college football), good food, Starwars, and spending time in the word, this might be a great house for you. These ladies have been a joy to live with and I am sad to leave, but I am moving across the bridge to VA, so we are looking for a great fit to take my place.

Location:

There is generally plenty of parking right in front of the house or on the block. It's a short 10-minute walk to Eastern Market and many restaurants on Penn or Barracks Row. It is a 15-minute walk to Union Station and about 18- 20 min walk to H Street. Close by Grocery stores include Trader Joes on Penn or Florida Ave, Yes Organic Market, the new Safeway, and others.
