Room/w private bath in Mt. Pleasant row home for rent
This is the “master suite” of the house. This a large and bright room including a private bathroom and excellent closet space. Current roommate has a queen sized bed and plenty of remaining space for additional furniture. Previous roommates also had queen beds along with desks, lounge chairs, etc in the room, so you have a lot of space to work with.
About the house:
The house is amazing - so big and spacious for what we pay, and such a nice, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, row house. Very big for just 3 people. Great front porch and nice backyard with a grill, which we share with the downstairs neighbor. Working fireplace. We keep the place clean, but not sparkling (like the occasional dish in the sink wont unleash hell). We're in Mt. Pleasant right next to the zoo and Rock Creek Park - so great for runs and bike rides. About a 10 minute walk from the Columbia Heights metro station, grocery store, Target (and all the Target complex has to offer). Washer and dryer inside the house and sorry, no pets.
Rent and Utilities:
We are on a month-to-month lease, rent for the room is $1176 a month plus utilities, which run each of us about $100-110 a month. The household also spits a $35 month tenant fee charged by the management company.
*Due to COVID-19 rent freeze, the property rental company has not increased the rent but once it is lifted there is a possibility for an increase. In the past it has not been more than 3%.
Security Deposit:
Security deposit is $1115 and paid to the roommate moving out.
Application
There is a $65 application fee and you need to provide proof of income and other application related documentation required by the property rental company.
