Master Bedroom available 8/1 in East Capitol Hill rowhouse for CF - $1195
Looking for 1-2 female roommates starting August 1.
The room is available for a two month sublet with the option to renew the lease on October 1.
HOUSE: 3 bedroom, 1 bath rowhouse in East Capitol Hill neighborhood. Two stories with brick exterior, front porch and spacious back patio, hardwood floors throughout, washer and dryer, and a great kitchen with up-to-date appliances (including a dishwasher). Plenty of street parking.
ROOM: Largest of three bedrooms. Bay window with lots of natural light. Built-in cabinets/drawers (see pictures), so no need for a dresser! Spacious closet with racks and shelves. Space for one queen/king bed or two twin beds (the room has been shared by two roommates for the past few years).
LOCATION: Across the street from the Potomac Ave metro station (orange/blue/silver lines) and several bus stops along Pennsylvania Ave. Lots of grocery options - Harris Teeter a few blocks away, a new Safeway coming soon around the corner, and a 15 min walk to Trader Joe’s. 8 min walk to Anacostia River Trail (great for running and biking) and 10 min walk to Lincoln Park. 15 minute walk to Eastern Market, which has lots of restaurants and shops and runs a farmers market every weekend. About 1.5 miles from the Capitol building.
ROOMMATES: Two young professional women in their 20s. One roommate works in the hospitality industry and enjoys riding her bike and exploring around the city, baking, and listening to jazz in her free time. The other roommate works for a small news magazine (currently working from home) and enjoys reading, watching a lot of tv and talking about tv, trying new food, and walking the neighborhood.
Rent is $1195/month for the sublet period and would be $1295/month starting Oct. 1. Utilities usually run about $100 a month including electric, gas, water and wifi. Would prefer August 1 move-in date but can be flexible.
