NEW 1 BDR/1 BA ENGLISH BASEMENT IN SE - $1350

edited June 2020 in Housing
For rent is a newly renovated basement apartment directly across the river from Navy Yard.

The Location

The house is located on a quiet block in the otherwise vibrant neighborhood of Historic Anacostia. It's a 4-minute walk to the Green Line (Anacostia metro station) and the Circulator (to Barracks Row). Anacostia metro station is one stop from Navy Yard (Nats and DC United stadiums, Harris Teeter, Blue Jacket, Philz Coffee, etc). The house is approximately a 10-minute drive from Capitol Hill.

It's also a short walk to local eateries and cafes (Starbucks, Busboys & Poets restaurant, Mama's Pizza, Turning Natural juice bar, Art-drenaline Cafe + more), cultural attractions (Anacostia Arts Center, Anacostia Playhouse, etc) and parks (Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, etc).

The Space

The basement apartment is approximately 500 ft2 with a separate entrance, full kitchen, separate bedroom and full bathroom. Other features include: in-unit washer/dryer, brand new appliances, ADT security system, and plenty of natural light.

The Housemates

The apartment is completely separate from the rest of the house, which is occupied by three friendly Christian male professionals. While we all keep busy with work, ministry, and hobbies, we also like hanging out in the common areas when we can. So there is an option for as much or as little socializing as desired :-)

The Details

Rent is $1350 + share of utilities. The lease term is a year and can start as early as mid July, 2020. The move-in date is flexible. Optional off-street parking is also available for $50/month.

Cheers,
