Please consider making your new home our entire English basement (half above-grade with windows), located in a beautiful neighborhood, with lots of trees and large yards, around the corner from all of the amenities of downtown Silver Spring, Maryland—only five blocks (a 10-minute walk) from the Silver Spring Metro (Red Line) and three blocks from restaurants, shops, movie and stage theaters, music venues, etc.
The apartment is a roomy 870 square feet, including private entrance, open-plan layout, with bedroom, living room, kitchen and bar, full bath (w/ shower), walk-in closet with glass brick window, full-size in-unit washer and dryer, and plenty of storage space. It is fully wired for internet and cable TV. Utilities (electricity, gas, water), high-speed WiFi, and basic cable TV included! The entrance opens out into a backyard featuring a split-level deck that may be shared with the homeowners and your own area to garden, grow vegetables and flowers, etc.
The location is terrific. The immediate surroundings are tree-lined streets and historic homes with large front yards. Yet it’s a quick walk to the Metro and to Silver Spring’s newly redeveloped downtown, including the following (some of which are currently closed, or take-out/delivery only, due to the virus):
• Retail (Whole Foods, Strosniders Hardware, H&M, CVS, Saturday farmer’s market, indoor and outdoor malls, etc.);
• Entertainment (The Magestic 20-screen IMAX, 3D and stadium movie theater, American Film Institute’s 3-screen Silver Theater and Cultural Center, Filmore live music venue, the Roundhouse live theater, outdoor entertainment center, Winter ice skating, etc.);
• Restaurants and cafes (Wide variety of cuisines: Thai, Burmese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, Ethiopian, Nepalese, Indian, African, Lebanese, Mexican, El Salvadoran, Cuban, Italian; Tastee Diner; Starbucks, Kaldi's Social Club, Kifa Cafe; Half-Moon BBQ; Cold Stone Creamery, Ben & Jerry’s; etc.);
• Fitness centers (LA Fitness, Washington Sports Club, YMCA, more); and

The apartment is also an easy walk/bike to several parks, including Rock Creek Park, Sligo Creek Park, and Wheaton Regional Park.
