Seeking CF for private room in Capitol Hill home!

If you find a global pandemic to be the ideal time for a major life change, I have good news for you! We are looking for an easygoing and responsible lady to join our “Hill East” 3 bedroom/1.5 bathroom beginning in late June/early July!

The House:

A sweet, blue box less than ten minutes walking from the Blue/Orange/Silver Metro line! The closest metro stop is Potomac Ave (less than a ten minute walk) with Eastern Market just a 15–20 minute walk away. Hardwood floors throughout, central AC, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a gas stove. We love our sweet home in this great location!

The Room:

Rent is $950 plus utilities, which end up being about $75–90 per person for water, electric, gas, and internet. Rent also includes a parking pad spot in the back, so it’s great for any drivers who don’t want to deal with neighborhood street parking/getting a permit! The cozy room comes unfurnished but currently holds a double bed, dresser, bookshelf, and end table.

Us:

Sarah is 28 and currently eating a lot of sourdough. Her relationship status with dairy, “wellness,” and decaf coffee is listed on Facebook as “It’s complicated.” She is recently passionate about reducing her environmental impact and has made small adjustments like composting and using rags instead of paper towels in order to make the home more earth-friendly. She attends Church of the Advent (formerly in Takoma Park, currently from the laptop in her bedroom) and wants to tell you about Maryland, sad indie music, and the enneagram. All her plants have names.

Kate is 27 and drinks a lot of coffee. Just ask Sarah. In fact, in the middle of the pandemic, we’ve invested in a small artillery of coffee equipment in order to create the perfect home brew! She also loves to play football and lifting, and if she wasn’t currently staying at home and keeping a proper social distance, she’d be on the field learning Australian Rules Football with the DC Eagles. But in the meantime, she’s trying to learn to like jogging and cooking. When she gets too frustrated with her basic skills in the kitchen, she usually turns to the ideal delivery that will satisfy her most recent craving.

We are fun-loving “introverts with social needs” who enjoy both chill evenings at home—catching up, cooking, or co-working on our laptops—as well as socializing around town and hosting friends at home (well… formerly).

You:

+Gainfully employed

+Tidy, mature, and respectful of a shared living environment

+Love a good laugh and a good meal
