IMPACT Collective is HIRING a MARKETING & EVENT INTERN for our growing company in the District. COMPANY BACKGROUND:
IMPACT Collective is where passion and purpose collide. We are a dynamic event management company based at the District Wharf ‘s Southwest Waterfront in Washington, DC. We specialize in wedding planning, venue event sales and concert production. We aspire both to be socially conscious and to impact our clients through passion, collaboration, dedication, and professionalism, Brands represented under IMPACT‘s umbrella include Meant 2 Live Foundation and Splendor Productions Since 2009, IMPACT Collective has won 11 WeddingWire Couple’s Choice Awards and 7 DC Capital Awards for our successful private events in DC. IMPACT is known to be a small company doing BIG things!

CLIENT BASE:
IMPACT works with shopping centers, restaurants, salons, entertainers, motivational speakers, charities, and corporate clients. Past and current clients include Capital Turnaround, Whitehall Annapolis, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Village at Leesburg, Hoop Dreams, We Believe Foundation, Coptic Orphans, Sushi Rock, Public Bar, BGR Burger Joint, Robert Andrew Salon & Spa, Northern Virginia Building Industry Association, Meant 2 Live Foundation, and Splendor Productions.

HOME OFFICE:
District Wharf – 800 Maine Ave SW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20024

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help plan, promote, and co-manage weddings, corporate events & special events
• Assist in social media campaigns
• Update social media sites with new information, pictures and videos
• Create engaging content for our weekly blog and monthly newsletter
• Provide on-site coordination for upcoming weddings and events
• Attend networking and industry events in DC
• Volunteer at Meant 2 Live Foundation and IMPACT Collective events

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to initiate innovative ideas that will appeal to target audiences
• Strong communication and people skills with openness to networking
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Quick starter/fast learner is a plus
• Must be a team player but also able to work independently
• Must be punctual to work and meetings
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box and be challenged
• Ability to work in a variety of locations and outdoors with time flexibility
• Organization, time management, and ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks at one given time
• Important to have a humble, hard-working and positive attitude
• Eagerness to try new things and explore
• Flexibility to switch from one task to another at a moment’s notice
• Have the ability to work in a fast paced work environment

PARAMETER:

• Position is unpaid and for experience / course credit
• Position can be part-time or full-time
• Time frame: January to May
• Training at IMPACT Collective's office at 800 Maine Ave. SW, Washington DC
