Faith-driven gal, seeking housing in a new city.

Hi all! I'm Kiana. I'm a born and raised Texas gal who moved to Alabama for college (Roll Tide!!!) and accepted an internship in the Capitol Hill area of DC. I will be looking for housing from January to the beginning of May (and June if a 6mo lease is required). I've quickly noticed that DC housing is WAY different than TX and AL housing. So any tips and pointers are welcome! I love Jesus, super laid back, an introvert (who loves to make lifelong friends...my only extrovert characteristic) and would love to have a roommate or at least reasonable rent this coming semester as I try and figure out life in DC.
