Seeking 2 CFs for NE Capitol Hill Row House
Chateau Dough is losing two great housemates to law school and marriage, and so we are looking for two women to fill their rooms in a townhouse in North East Capitol Hill on June 1 and July 1. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and is on a family friendly street that is exactly one mile from the Capitol building steps (which is perfect for a run after work). For the neighborhood location, and proximity to public transportation (10 min walk to Union Station), the rent is really great.
Room Descriptions
Room 1: $935 (email for pictures)
Mid-size second floor room (currently has a queen size bed), with nice large window in the back of the house. Shares a shower with the downstairs roommate (who has a half bath downstairs), and their bathroom is right outside of the room. This room has a massive closet and tons of storage.
Room 2: $865 (email for pictures)
Slightly larger room on the main floor with direct access to the back deck (which we all use, but our roommate assures us this is a big perk). The room currently has a queen size bed and plenty of space. The only negative here is that the room does not have a door, but a curtain for privacy (which is reflected in the cost). However, we try to be really respectful of this, so we aren’t being loud late at night or grinding coffee early in the morning. This person would have their own half bath downstairs, and would share a shower with the roommate upstairs in Room 1.
Current Residents
The two of us remaining are young women in our late 20’s who value deep conversation, good music, and keeping our kitchen clean. We’re both in consulting and have pretty active social lives. Jonelle loves dancing (think salsa, bachata, and zouk), and Sarah loves to explore DC and host dinner parties. Both of us hate drama, value direct communication, and want our home to be warm and inviting.
