private bedroom in 2BR in Brookland/Edgewood with CF
I am seeking a new roommate (my current one is getting married) for a 12-month lease beginning August 1. The apartment is in a condo building (so most of the tenants own their places) in Brookland/Edgewood. Rent is $905 or $960 per month depending on which room is taken (I can do either). Utilities (internet, gas, electric) are usually $50-60 per person per month.
The neighborhood:
Ten minute walk to redline.
Ten minute walk to Catholic University.
About 12 minute walk to Monroe street shops.
G8 around the corner. Other bus lines as well.
Bike lane around the corner and Metropolitan Branch trail down the street.
Great family neighborhood. I love it for countless reasons but I won't go on and on!!
The apartment:
hardwood floors except tile in bathroom and kitchen
updated and clean - new appliances
my landlord lived in it a year ago so she kept it up
responsive landlord and also manager of building
14-unit building
third floor
gas stove
ask if you want to see pictures (I don't see how to add them)
bike storage in basement
lots of natural sunlight
mostly furnished: desk, nightstand, and dresser in bedroom (might have an extra bed but don't know at this time)
central air
Me:
CF late 30s/early 40s age bracket
high school teacher
social and busy but quiet at home
occasionally have people over for dinner or my prayer group over
active in my faith and Church
physically active (swim at the local pool, run, etc)
