Old Towne Associates, P.C. ("OTA") is a local law firm that focuses on civil rights, labor, employment law and business matters. Our clients' success determines our own. We ensure both by collaborating with our clients to achieve their goals. We are passionate about what we do and pride ourselves on providing exceptional services to our clients.

We are hiring a Legal Receptionist. We are only considering candidates who are energetic, detail-oriented, motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and their time well, and who understand the importance of the judicial system. The selected Legal Secretary will gain invaluable practical experience and will have the opportunity to interact with Firm clients and be mentored by the principal of the Firm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Order office supplies
  • Coordinate recycling drop off
  • Create, organize, and maintain both administrative and client files
  • Maintain calendar/schedule (heavy calendar management)
  • Assist in preparing and filing pleadings for Court
  • Edit and input accurate time entries for partners, contractors, and other attorneys (using Rocketmatter)
  • Regularly coordinate conference calls, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and vendors
  • Track and submit reimbursements
  • Track and submit Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Bar, and various association requirements
  • Draft, proofread, and revise correspondence and documents
  • Assist attorneys with organizing exhibits and maintaining pleading indexes and files
  • Organize and prepare company information, qualifications, attorney resumes, and various required documents for proposals

Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as authorized.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Pre-Law candidates
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Salary: Commensurate with experience
