FOR RENT: BASEMENT OPENING UP NEAR LINCOLN PARK
Basement FAQs:
-Includes dresser, open built in closet space, bookshelf and extra hidden storage spaces
-Two bathrooms (both with additional shelving)
-Carpeted and can easily accommodate a queen size bed and even a piece of extra furniture like a chair or small loveseat
-Separate entrance/exit to basement from the backyard
House FAQ’s:
-Fully furnished rowhouse
-Central AC/Heat
-Safe and friendly neighborhood (located a block away from an elementary school)
-About 10 min. walk to H St., 15 minute walk to Safeway, 15 minute walk to Eastern Market (which is getting a Trader Joes!!), and 25 minute walk to the Hill
-Living room with TV/ DVR (Xfinity), dining and kitchen area as well as a backyard and small patio with grill
-Living room has a large sectional couch and dining room has a futon for guests to use when they visit
-3 Rooms upstairs with one bathroom (currently 3 girls in their 20s-30s living upstairs)
-We have had teachers, Hill staffers, and non-profit folks all live in the house so we are pretty open and just looking for a great person to fill the space
-Landlord lives close to the house and is great at being responsive to anything we need
-5 minute walk to Lincoln Park which is essentially a dog park J
Rent for the whole basement would be $1050/month (around $100 in utilities). Security deposit is $1200 and is repaid to previous tenant (i.e. whenever you move out, the next person who moves in pays you the security deposit. The location is near Lincoln Park, about a 25 minute walk to the Hill. Is the space still available? I'm a student finishing up my time at American University and looking for a place with calm and respectful roommates. I used to go to NCC Georgetown and now serve at a church on Embassy Row. I know I am guy, but I deeply value privacy, quiet, and peace. I am extremely interested in the apartment!
