Seeking a Production Assistant

Seeking a production assistant to support a documentary on black women and beauty. Filming will take place near the U Street Metro.  

Responsibilities:

  • Helping to select people to be interviewed

  • Ensuring releases are completed

  • Spreading the word about the documentary as onlookers walk by

  • Running errands as needed (no car required)

  • Managing and distributing water, snacks, etc. to the crew and talent

Requirements:

  • Organized, friendly, and outgoing

  • Interest in the arts

  • Legible handwriting and detail oriented in order to ensure releases are completed

  • Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply

  • Must be available in the evening of Friday, July 21 and afternoon of Saturday, July 22 OR evening of Friday, July 28 and afternoon of Saturday, July 29.

Job Type: Freelance

Compensation: $12-$15/hr DOE

 Job Location:

  • Washington, DC, near the U Street Metro
