About us:
Two female working/grad school professionals in mid-twenties looking for a female roommate who is laid back but responsible. We’ve both worked/lived abroad, and enjoy being active, hosting guests, and making the most of all DC has to offer! We both also attend church in DC.
About the house:
The house has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms with two working fireplaces and tall ceilings. It’s old and gorgeous but newly renovated so you won’t feel like you’re living in a box. There is a cute, little backyard where we have our planter boxes and often sit out in the warmer months. We love our neighborhood, which is full of tree-lined streets, parks, cute coffee shops, and restaurants. The house is located right behind Stanton Park, a 5 to 10-minute walk from Union Station and H Street, and 15 to 20-minute walk to Eastern Market and Barrack's Row. It’s also close to main bus lines going downtown, the Senate Buildings and the Supreme Court. Convenient grocery stores include Giant, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's.
The room:
The room is a gorgeous large-size bedroom with windows overlooking the front street, a closet, and overhead storage space. Rent is $1225 a month, average utilities are ~$70/month for internet, electricity, water, and gas. One month’s deposit and rent are due on move in. This is taking over the lease of a current roommate and would last until April 30, 2019.
