Business Manager

The Business Manager role is responsible for the execution of day-to-day financial and administrative functions for the Clarice Smith Performing Arts. The Business Manager supervises the Account Payable function, reviewing and approving all Purchasing and Travel Card transactions for The Clarice. The Business Manager provides direct oversight of the Procurement functions of The Clarice. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and Administration, the Business Manager manages the new employee registration, onboarding and payroll entry functions for The Clarice; ensuring continuity of PHR appointments for staff and students, and appropriate timesheet record approval for the Unit. The Business Manager performs monthly account reconciliation activities including but not limited to oversight of fiscal closing process, transfers between departments, and unit fiscal closing transfers in State ledger accounts. The Business Manager also manages grant transactions, maintains related financial records and develops cost reports in coordination with the Development Departments annual reporting schedule. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; Finance, Accounting, IT, Human Resources -5-7 years of progressive experience in Financial Management and oversight. Knowledge of endowment and grant account management and reconciliation. Excellent oral and written communication Skills: Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
