Capitol Hill Studio for Sublet July/August 2018

I have a 450sf studio apartment conveniently located within a block of Lincoln Park that I would like to sublet for July/August. The studio is located on the second floor of a five story building composed of studio apartments occupied primarily by working professionals. It's very quiet.

Elevator access makes it easy to enjoy the rooftop deck which has views of the Capitol. Lounge chairs and dining space is available there. The nearly 360-degree view is perfect for seeing fireworks across multiple neighborhoods on July 4th. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or hallways; however, smoking is permitted on the rooftop. Generally, you will have it to yourself.

The studio has wood floors, tall ceilings and a galley kitchen. Windows face East for lovely early morning light. A large round table serves as workspace and dining space. A twin bed, sitting chairs and side tables create a cozy space to enjoy as a retreat from the summer heat. A stationary bike and a 10-speed road bike are available to use during your stay. Coin-operated laundry is available in the lower level. Central A/C.  A small rotary fan also available for those who don't like A/C. You can also use the folding chair and beach umbrella for excursions to the park.

Eastern Market is just five blocks away with easy access to Trader Joe's, CVS, Duncan Donuts plus a range of specialty restaurants offering authentic French, Spanish, Mexican and other cuisines. Barracks Row is nearby with additional options for lunch and dinner plus the budget-friendly Miracle Theater.

A lovely 20-minute walk along tree-lined East Capitol will take you to the Capitol where free concerts are offered almost nightly during the summer months. The Library of Congress also offers free entertainment including outdoor movies during July/August. And the Folger Shakespeare Library offers theater, music and poetry readings.

The studio is perfectly situated for enjoying the historic neighborhood of Capitol Hill with easy metro access to the Smithsonian Museums and the Kennedy Center (Blue/Orange Line).

Towels, bedding, dishes, cookware, utensils...everything will be available for use.
Rent per month is $1500 (including utilities and wifi) with $300 security deposit.
Minimal closet space provided...this is for short-term use by someone who is visiting a family member or transitioning from living abroad.

Please contact me for additional information.

Best regards-
