Seeking housemates for intentional community in Anacostia

I’m planning on moving to a new place in Anacostia and am looking for the
individuals who will help make this house a home and a blessing to the
community.

A bit about the house: a brand new build on a street mostly lined with row
houses and single family dwellings and an apartment building/family
homeless shelter at the end of the block. It’s a ten minute walk to
Anacostia metro station, and the buses that stop at the end of the street
will take you to Capitol Hill neighborhood and beyond. The main floor
includes a large open living/dining space, a spacious kitchen, and a half
bath. Upstairs are the bedrooms: 1) a master bedroom with adjoining
bathroom and walk-in closet (would be open to women or a married couple in
this room) 2) Two bedrooms each with two large windows and a closet space
(would be seeking women for these rooms). There is another full bath that
would be used by these rooms. A washer and dryer are also on the second
floor. There’s a parking space in the back and generally available street
parking.

The ideal housemates would be excited about the vision of the house: a
place to love God and love our neighbors well, to exhibit hospitality and
generosity, to build community so that people are known and loved, and to
support and encourage each other.

Let me know if you are interested in this vision and I can share pictures
and rent amounts for the various rooms. rt1406@gmail.com
